RedR UK and HumanSurge sign MOU
We have an exciting update: HumanSurge is proud to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with RedR UK. With decades of experience, RedR UK is a reference in the humanitarian sector, providing support worldwide through expertise and skill development. RedR UK trains life-savers, giving people the necessary skills to respond to major disasters, be they earthquakes, flood, conflict or drought. . In 2015 alone, RedR UK trained more than 5,000 humanitarians in 32 countries; 80% of which were national staff, or working for national organizations.
Their global membership provides aid workers with professional recognition of knowledge and experience. RedR UK members are humanitarians with significant training and practical experience in responding to disasters.
¨Under the terms of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), RedR Members who register with HumanSurge will be able to add a RedR badge to their profile, enhancing their visibility and ensuring that their profile stands out to recruiters.” says RedR’s Membership Officer Ellie Munari. Global Emergency Roster
HumanSurge co-founder, Loek Peeters, adds that ¨this MoU takes HumanSurge to the next step in becoming the Global Emergency Roster of reference for humanitarian responders. Validating profiles, specifically RedR UK members, provides HR departments with a powerful tool to enhance surge recruitment of skilled professionals in emergencies¨. Now that the integration of RedR UK membership verification has been completed, HumanSurge is expected to announce similar agreements with other organizations and institutions involved in the certification of humanitarian professionals.
